Meet Sofia:
Sofia Gonzalez is a working actor, teaching artist, and mentor with over a decade of professional experience in television, film, and commercial work. She has appeared on shows including Modern Family, Grace and Frankie, The Neighborhood, Minx, Miracle Workers, and The Santa Clauses, and has worked with major studios and casting offices across Los Angeles and Northern California.
As a proud Latina of Mexican and Guatemalan descent, Sofia is especially passionate about honoring her students identity, voice, and lived experience. Her goal is to demystify the audition process and help actors understand the business side of acting with clarity and confidence.
We’re thrilled to announce the return of Adam Johnson to our event stage, with readings by actors from his epic historical novel, The Wayfinder. A recipient of rave reviews from the Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal, this novel begins as a young girl’s perilous seafaring journey in the South Seas, but it’s oh, so much more than that.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, March 21 (our ONLY Saturday event this year) at 7PM at the Auditorium at CLARA (1425 24th St. in Midtown Sacramento).
This is our only ticketed event this season, and we’ve established three tiers: $10 for admission only; $35 for admission and a discounted copy of The Wayfinder; or $45 for admission for two people and one copy (also discounted!) of The Wayfinder. Tickets are available and you can pick up your copy of the book at the event, and have Adam sign it for you.

In this workshop, we will dance with our ancestry which live in our heart, soul, collective memory, and DNA. We will call on the wisdom and medicine of our lineage, the power of ancestral lands, and the spirit of the animal clans to guide our dance on this journey.
We will beckon our bloodlines and sacred guides to help navigate a magical ancestral journey, weaving the 5Rhythms with our ancestral lineage.
Together, we will acknowledge, give thanks, embody forgiveness and healing for ourselves, our ancestors, and the land. We’ll honor and celebrate by moving our bones, blood, and bodies – gifts from our ancestors.
Prerequisite: Three 5R Waves classes are required prior to attendance. All workshop hours contribute to 5Rhythms® Teacher Training prerequisites.
