Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. This could be a little girl in the ICU or a mother with Stage 3 leukemia. If you’re worried about needles, don’t be—most blood donors compare the experience to a mild, split-second pinch! The entire process is very safe and very fast, and you will feel amazing knowing you potentially saved up to three people.

Every donor will receive a voucher good for two tickets to any remaining 2026 Sacramento River Cats home game.

Vitalant is currently facing a critical shortage of type O blood after donations have steadily declined. The supply of type O blood has now fallen to its lowest level in two years. Maintaining an adequate blood supply is critical to ensuring patients receive the transfusions they need without delay. Blood donors of all blood types, especially type O, are urgently needed.

A critical blood shortage can be overcome when more people step up to give the gift of life.
