Interested in unique, intriguing world music and dance? Want to try some traditional Balkan dancing? Come to our Zado Eastern European Vocal Ensemble January 20, 2024 concert featuring Tzvetanka, Tanya, & Ivan Varimezovi ( Varimezovi Band ), world-acclaimed vocalists, musicians, and educators from Bulgaria. Join us for an evening of singing and music followed by dancing where everyone can join in Balkan line dances. Feel free to wear an ethnic costume for the festivities. Performances by Zado and the Varimezovi family include songs from Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Macedonia, Russia, Serbia, and Ukraine. The Bulgarian dance party is led by the Varimezovi Band where everyone in the audience is invited to dance. The dancing includes simple dances that young and old can do as well as several more complex dances for local folk dance enthusiasts.
