Composer Ryan Suleiman and librettist Cristina Fries explore the eerie fairlytale imagery of Charles Perrault’s classic story Donkeyskin in conjunction with the librettists’ own experiences as a young woman alone in Argentina, surrounded by predatory men and roving packs of wild dogs. Featuring local artists Carrie Hennessey (soprano), Omari Tau (baritone), and Kevin Doherty, as well as student actor-puppeteers, the world-premiere staged performance of Bones of Girls is not to be missed.
