accessibility
CLARA is committed to making our building, programs, and digital presence accessible to all members of our community, including people with disabilities.
Physical accessibility
Reserved parking for cars with disabled placards is available in the west side of the lot, immediately next to the Auditorium and in front of the entrance to Sacramento Ballet.
The Sacramento Ballet entrance is the most easily-accessible entrance for someone using a wheelchair, but if you are planning to go to the second floor, you may wish to park in the courtyard and use the interior courtyard ramp to enter the building, right next to the building’s elevator. Building entrances which are accessible by ramps are indicated on the building map with blue squares.
Digital accessibility
We are building the new claramidtown.org to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This includes:
Meaningful alt text for all images
Sufficient color contrast throughout
Keyboard-navigable interface
Compatibility with screen readers and other assistive technology
Captions for embedded video content
Feedback & accommodations
If you encounter a barrier on our website or need an accommodation to participate in a CLARA program or event, please contact us. We take accessibility feedback seriously and will work to address issues promptly.
